ARPA was established in order to perform functions and responsibilities of the Audit Authority in the system of EU funds in the Republic of Croatia. ARPA is an operational body which is independent of the management and control systems which are set up for the implementation of the EU programmes and instruments, and it performs these activities while taking into account the internationally accepted audit standards and the guidelines issued by the European Commission in the context of the stated standards. ARPA provides independent and objective assessment of the effectiveness of the management and control system and reasonable assurance that statements of expenditures and the accounts presented to the Commission are accurate, complete and correct, and accordingly, that the underlying transactions are legal and regular.
VISION
Through its work and operations, ARPA within its responsibilities for auditing EU funds and the implementation system, ensures efficient and effective audits aimed to increase efficiency and effectiveness of all entities included in the management of EU funds in Republic of Croatia.
